Hello

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
This title came up sometime when Emma Watson was cast to play a role in its movie adaptation. So I thought the main character in this story is a girl as I also associated it with the anime Yamato Nadeshiko (translated the Wallflower) where the main character is a girl.
I decided to borrow this book from my friend because it is relatively short and I can find time to finish this without me forgetting to read it when I get busy.
Well anyway, while I was reading the book, I swear I was infinite :) Pretty much like The Catcher in the Rye (Chbosky’s inspiration in writing the novel), a boy narrates his life like he was talking to somebody. Actually, he writes a letter addressed to an anonymous friend.
Sex, and drugs can be pretty much “normal” on the Western High School but I can still pretty much relate to the main character, Charlie as he calls himself, so I really enjoyed reading the book. It’s just like someone’s confiding me a story and I really like to listen.
I would also like to read the books Bill has assigned Charlie, two of them I’ve already read: To Kill a Mockingbird and The Catcher in the Rye.
Flipping through the last page, I stopped reading. I did something else. As with any other good book, I halfheartedly decide if I’m gonna finish this. I want Charlie to write to me until he finishes high school or beyond that. I don’t want this to end.

“Saukerl! Arvin!” My eyes are welling up so I curled my body and hid my face to my brothers while I read this part in “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak.
The title suggested me that this book is a thrilling, fantasy/adventure kind of story where there is this thief and he steals books with magical powers and shenanigans, something like that.
I have judged a book by its cover. The book thief is not even a male (talk about gender stereotyping).
I was completely wrong. It was not even close.
I have decided to read this story because of a blog post by Kristiane. From that I learned that Death is narrating the story and I became interested. I like the way Death tells you the story, facts are lined up in headings, details thoroughly described, and he even spoiled endings because he does not give a fuck to us humans. But I still like him even if I hate spoilers.
He tells you about Liesel Meminger, the book thief, and how she lived in times of Nazi Germany. While watching her through the words of Death, I have came to love not just Liesel, but also the ones that Liesel have loved as though I was her.
This book also sort of lectured me about Nazi Germany as I don’t know much about anything of Hitler, World War II and other history stuff.
This is now the saddest book I’ve read so far, beating The Kite Runner.

Post-Halloween Post

I can’t remember myself dressing up for halloween when I was a kid. Then I attended A Night of Mischief, a Halloween Party organized by JMAUPM. I immediately thought of The Joker from The Dark Knight and I never changed my mind.

These are the most decent (Read: still sober) photos I got from Facebook:

Oh, and I also am a finalist for Best in Costume.

Here’s me, after several shots, walking the ramp:

I really think I should’ve won but the judges made us do the dougie, and God knows He made me a very good dancer. A “Man from the ‘The Walking Dead’” won the competition. I’m still happy I’m recognized. Yay me.

My two bestfriends love my face so much, they draw it during their free time.
I love you Bebs and Mama. :”> Pahinging onting right brain!

BACK TO BLOG

from a very long Tumblr Hiatus.

Feel free to unfollow.

Welcome me back Tumblr.
